GLASTONBURY FESTIVAL
Glastonbury Festival is a five-day music festival that takes place in Somerset. In addition to music, the festival hosts dance, comedy, theatre, circus, cabaret, and other arts. Leading pop and rock artists have headlined which means the festival receives extensive television and newspaper coverage. Glastonbury is now attended by around 200,000 people each year. Since 1981, the festival has been organised by local farmer and site owner Michael Eavis.
LONDON FASHION WEEK
London Fashion Week is a clothing trade show that takes place in London twice a year, in February and September. It is organised by the British Fashion Council, which is currently chaired by Stephanie Phair. It ranks alongside New York, Paris and Milan as one of the 'Big Four' fashion weeks. It is attended by over 5,000 press and buyers. A retail-focused event, London Fashion Week Festival, takes place immediately afterwards at the same venue and is open to the general public.
