Section 1: Rationale

I enjoyed my time working on the MET connect website as it expanded my knowledge of online marketing and the influence of social media. I want to proceed with the idea of ‘Ellie’s corner’ however I want to learn and grow from addressing the issues of it. I don’t think I was consistent enough and the quality of content I was producing wasn’t up to the standard I wanted it to be. For my next project I need to post and upload on the days I say I’m going to. Making a more realistic time plan will help me stay consistent and get the grade that I want. In the plan I'm going to make sure I have a big enough gap between production and the release date. This means if I face issues that mean I get behind on work for a week or so, I will have enough time to edit and prepare before I post. This was one of my main issues with Ellie's corner which led to work building up and becoming too stressful.

Section 2: Concept

Working with the musical theatre students, I want to turn Ellie’s corner into a page full of behind the scenes and interview content. My main inspiration for the interviews is youtube. Before a film is released, actors usually take part in different youtube videos with different channels to promote the film. I’m going to turn Ellie’s corner into one of these pages and create fun content to help promote the musicals. Not only will this be a different way to do interviews, it will also be a chance to show the actors personalities and find out more about them as individuals. Listed in the Harvard reference box, are different videos I have found which I am using as inspiration. Each video will have a different interviewing approach, creating variety across Ellie’s corner. I am planning to record each video in a different set however, due to COVID restrictions I don't know if this will be possible. I know I want to use the photography studios with a plain white background although, I don't want to use this for all the videos as I want variety.

As well as the videos I will post pictures and announcements about things going on behind the scenes. Using instagram, twitter and tiktok, I will create a BTS feed on Ellie's corner. This will be an unplanned stream of information about what the musical theatre students are up to.

Section 3: Evaluate

My end goal is to have Ellie’s corner up and running with all my produced content. I’m going to have a launch date 5 weeks before the deadline where I will release the first video. After this I will consistently upload every week up until the deadline. This creates my target of creating 5 videos. Throughout the 5 weeks of the website being active I will frequently post behind the scenes content, I don't have an exact aim for this however I want to be posting on this more than weekly.
